Research Notes: Migrated with parents to Dunedin NZ, then to Melbourne about 1890. It is said that he persuaded his mother to move to Melbourne also. He was a Cabinet-Maker. His tools are now in the possession of Noel Pocknall. 1 Noted events in his life were: • Census UK: Aged 8, 1871, Constitution Hill, Gillingham, Kent, England. 4 George married Elizabeth Hamilton Mitchell about 1890.1 (Elizabeth Hamilton Mitchell was born about 1857 1 and died in 1942 in Fairfield, Victoria, Australia 1.) |
