Buried at Peasmarsh on 18 Feb 1790. I have a copy of Isaac's will. Isaac was possibly the child of Thomas Butler and Hannah Hicks. Baptism & burial records from Sussex Baptism Index and Sussex Burial Index. Things I still need to check out: ESRO reference SAS-DD/207 dated 21 Jun 1766. It refers to "By Thomas Holles, Duke of Newcastle, lord of the Honour and Rape of Hastings, to Isaac Butler of Peasmarsh of a cottage and 1/4 ac. of waste ground in Peasmarsh adjoining to lands of the Earl of Thanet, N., the highway from Peasmarsh Cock to Beckley, S. Term 21 years; rent 5s".
